videos and junk

So with the whole Alison Chang scandal I have to agree with her lawyer that Virgin mobile should not have used her picture. This is not to say that i don't agree that using other peoples pictures from the internet is not ok. I just think that in a corporate advertisement they should have the permission of the people in the ad and the photographers full consent. But for personal and creative purposes I think it is fair game to use a image regardless on the internet. It just comes to when someone is using the image to make money or advertise a product I think the person who originally made the image or the person in the picture deserves some sort of credit.

As for this TED talk I really agree with what Larry Lessig is talking about. I think that there are to many restrictions being placed on sharing media on things such as youtube and photo bucket. I Personally have a documentary i made about Autism and posted it on youtube in 3 parts. The last part had credits with a song called Oxygen by the Artist Willy Mason. The videos audio was muted so now none of that video can be heard. The funny part is that the song is condoning commercialism and corporate greed and letting our children flourish, yet who ever has rights to that song flagged it because i had the song.
